For this week’s classmate conversation, I got to meet Jennifer Vega. Jennifer and I are both second years here at long beach and have an interest in the medical field, more specifically she majors in health science, whereas I am majoring in biology. We talked about how our first two weeks went as far as how we adjusted coming back from winter break. I still have to check phone to see where and what time my class actually starts! Anyway, with a health science degree, she hopes to become an audiologist in the future. But first: pronunciation class!
Regarding the question of the week, Jennifer and I chose to major in health science and biology because of the desire to help individuals and especially our families. In 5 years we hope to be in graduate school pursuing our dream careers as an audiologist, and for me as a dentist. Also, there is also possibility of traveling the world and the consideration of settling down.
On the other hand, some of the things that she loves to do on her free time outside of school are going on bike rides as well as visiting amusement parks from water parks to knotty berry farm. One fun fact about Jennifer is that Halloween is her favorite holiday of the year, which is surprisingly my least favorite holiday ever! One last thing that we have in common is that both of us had turtles as pets as kids. Such slow swimming animals!
